In 2002, Mongolian Vector, a specialized container train started running along Brest – Naushki – Ulan Bator route. The train departs twice a month, on the 15th and 30th days. Containers arriving at Brest are accumulated and stored at the container warehouse free of charge. As the distance from the port of Hamburg to the Chinese ports makes about 21 thousand kilometers and the time of goods delivery is from 30 to 40 days, there is a real possibility to change over the freight flow to the railway transport in this line, as it reduces the delivery time by 3 times. The specialized container train consists of containers delivered to Brest both by railway without using any other container trains, and by motor vehicles.
