In order to attract customers, the representatives of the three railways (Belarusian Railway, Railways of Lithuania Joint Stock Company, Ukrzaliznytsa) have approved reduced tariffs which are considerably lower that the cost of Ilyichevsk – Kolyadichy (Minsk) – Klaipeda and back motor-route. Specialists employed in the railways have developed a number of documents to ensure unhindered movement of cargo from Klaipeda to the ports of Odessa and Ilyichevsk and back less that during 2.5 days. The express train carries cargo destined both for the countries of Scandinavia, Transcaucasia, Central Asia and Near East, and also for the Belarusian Railway stations (for the cars to be uncoupled in Minsk), and for the Ukrainian Railway stations. The combined train runs weekly; it includes flatcars with large-capacity containers, specialized flatcars with articulated lorries, trailers, and passenger stock for travel of the drivers and consignors’ guards. Viking Train transported 11 589 containers in 2006, and 4 283 containers in the first quarter of 2007, which is 63% more than for the similar period of the preceding year.

A structural railway subdivision of BELINTERTRANS Unitary Enterprise is a Train operator for the Belarusian Railway, involved in organization of cargo transportation by such Train.
